3 Effective & Simple Tricks To Help You Feel Your Best from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

Has this been a crazy year or what? It seems like there’s a new breaking story every time I wake up. With all the chaos going on, I’ve felt out of whack. I haven’t felt like my usual peppy self, and I’ve been struggling to find a way back to my old self. Luckily, a light bulb went off in my head a few weeks ago, and I’ve established a new daily routine. Let me tell y’all: I haven’t felt this good in a while. Now, I want to share my simple tricks to help you feel your best if you’ve been out of sorts like I was.

Drink Cold Water

I’ll be honest with y’all: coffee is more my jam than H2O. However, I’ve noticed that I’ve been feeling drained during the past few months and that I have little energy. Sure, some of that is due to current events, but I started to feel so much better once I started drinking more water. What’s more, I’ve found there are several advantages to drinking cold water that has made me feel like a new woman. I feel more alert and ready to take on the day when I have a glass of iced water in the AM. Another benefit is that it boosts your immune system, which is more important than ever right now.

Get Some Fresh Air

It’s so easy to stay tucked away in the house because of the current climate. However, it’s crucial to get some fresh air and the vitamin D you need. Your mood will improve, and you’ll feel healthier overall. Trust me, y’all—it took some hard convincing from my hubby to get me off the couch in the beginning of the pandemic. Now, we go on hikes every day, and I’m the one encouraging him to get up and moving. I feel so much better once I have a little more sunshine in my day.

Stay Away from Screens

Another simple trick to help you feel your best is to stay away from screens. Yes, it’s important to stay informed. However, there’s such a thing as too much information. If y’all are feeling drained from everything the news is telling you, unplug for a while. Walk around the house and get in a good stretch, or perhaps read a book to stimulate your mind and give your eyes a break. You can check Instagram later, y’all. The likes will still be there in a few hours.
