Summer Reading List: Climb That Fence &Take That Leap

Every read a self help book that was so boring that you fell asleep reading it or after the first chapter you ask yourself why did you spend your hard earned money on this piece of junk. Well folks sometimes we have learn the hard way and some money is lost. But I will have to say that reading Climb That Fence and Take That Leap is not one of those books. I believe you will be mildly surprised when you read this book. Here is brief summary:

 

Ever wonder if there is more to your pet’s behavior than meets the eye? Can we learn something about ourselves by watching them? Climb that Fence take that Leap is a compilation of personal, inspirational animal stories and the life lessons we can glean from them. After enjoying these stories, you’ll spend a little extra time with your friend and know what it takes to Climb that Fence and Take that Leap!

 

Philip Johnsey teaches and well as entertains in this book. He entertains through relating tales about his beloved animals. I fell in love these stories. Whether it was about his turtle who dug his own escape route under the fence to the many escapades of his cats, he  related how they react to how we should react in situations. Almost as if he saying, take time to realize what is that we really need in life. Animals just need food, water, a need to feel safe and a place to call home. Isn’t that what we all need? I loved how he was able to relate his animals into a teachable moment about human problems. Never would I have thought to do that. It seems simple this solution that I had a why I didn’t I think of that moment when the book. (Okay let me be honest, I had a ton of why didn’t I think of that moments while reading this book.) I highly recommend this book. It is a preachy book saying  you should this and not that instead it is a book that makes review and think about your situation. And I promise that you will be thoroughly entertained and have several as you are reading this book.
