AFM Reading List

As you know I love to read book that are part of a series and this book fits the bill. This is the first book in the series and I am hooked. Two Brothers by Sofia Diana Gabel is an exciting series that leaves the reader on the edge of their seats.  I fact I read part of this book while I was on the exercise bike and I found myself peddling faster when I got the exciting parts, so this good can be good for you. Just read the brief summary.

What teenage boy doesn’t want to fit in and have friends? That’s what Argus Dachel, 17, wants more than anything, but because he’s half alien, and a New Breed, that’s not as easy as it seems. And it sure doesn’t help that he and his brother, Tai, are being pursued by a secret government agency. To top it off, now in their senior year at public high school, both boys risk exposure when Argus uses his extraordinary strength to defend himself against the school bully, falls for 16 year-old Lola and then learns that New Breeds are set for extermination by another group of hostile aliens. As government agent Max Jackson gets close to discovering the brothers’ identity and the hostile alien forces close in, what chance do Argus and Tai have of survival?

Like I said before I loved this book. I guess one of the reasons is that I am mom of two teenagers granted mine are girls but I still know what they went through on a day to day basis. Also I love how the fact that they are different are what makes them seem more human than most humans are. They are confused about the changes that are happening to them. I will have to admit that I would love to have some of characteristics that these boys learn they have. The ability to become invisible would be very handy when there are situations or people that I do not want to deal with. LOL Also being able to communicate with another person without them being in the same room and without talking would be pretty awesome as well. I love how even though both of these boys are different they are also very sympathetic almost heroic in their journey to find out who they really are.

Interested in buying this book. It is a frugal read at $2.99.
