How to Support Farmers During this Crisis from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

UPDATED LIST 3/18/20 I told myself that I wasn’t going to write about what is happening in the world today. Why? Because I honestly think that there is so much information already out there that there isn’t much more that I could add or want to add. But after listening to the news the last few days of the information going around I knew I had to write one but not about the actual virus but how it is affecting people that are near and dear to my heart, the farmers. And after seeing on social media the massive hysteria going on at local grocery stores and chatting with a few farmers, I knew I needed to do something to help out. I will update this information as information from farms come in. So keep checking back as I will be updating this list as I get information from farmers. Keep reading to see how to support farmers during this crisis.

Also if you have a farmer that you support regularly check with them and see how they are doing. The grocery stores may be sold out but I can guarantee that not only will you be supporting a farmer, but you will be getting a product that has not been overprocessed. It is important to support farmers during this crisis because many depend on farmer’s markets to sell their products.

I also want to include the link to Local Harvest, just in case there is isn’t a farmer near you listed in this post. You can enter zip code and find a farmer near you.
