Assembling Your Own Tool Kit
I have been doing a lot of projects around the house to keep my mind off the unknown- what is causing Gracie to be sick. Doing all these projects made me realize I need a tool kit of my own. My husband is bad about leaving his tools everywhere. Having to hunt down tools that I needed made me realize I needed a kit of my own as well. If you are thinking about creating your own tool kit, here are some items that you might want to include.
- A Hammer- Look for one that is easy for you to handle. Also make sure it can pull out nails as well.
- 2 Screwdrivers- Phillips head and flat head screwdrivers are a must. These are the two most common screwdrivers so they should be easy to find.
- A Staple Gun- I have a light weight one that I absolutely love. It is the go to tool in my toolkit. Well that and my hot glue gun.
- A Hardware kit- This kit contains nails screws, eye hooks, and cup hooks. You can normally pick up one of these at the dollar store.
- Velcro or Heavy Duty glue- for those jobs that need fastening.
- Pliers- As with the hammer, look for one that you will be able to work with.
- A Tape Measure- If you have the funds, buy more than one because these seem to always grow feet and walk away by themselves.
- A Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks- I have done a lot of my DYI’s projects with these lately.
- Permanent Markers- In every color, you never know when you might need to do a quick touch up.
So these are the must haves in my toolkit. Do you have something different in yours?? Let me know, I am always looking for ideas.
