Tips For Getting Your Body Back Post-Baby from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

Having a new baby is a wonderful experience that changes you forever.  Although our bodies go through a significant amount of stress undergoing this metamorphosis in order to bring a baby to life, most mothers would agree that it is worth it and then some. This is not to say that we don’t want to look good in a pair of tight jeans again someday or maybe wear a bikini! Getting your body back is something that you should believe is possible, as many women continue to have great figures after having a baby.  Sometimes even better bodies than before! When it comes to taking control of your post-baby body and getting it back to the way you want it, here are the best tips.

Breastfeed

Breastfeeding can burn as many as 1000 calories in a day depending on how much you are doing it.  Make this your friend by not only nourishing your baby but also cutting out extra calories and fat from your day.  This way, everyone wins!

Many women report that they lost double the amount of weight in half the amount of time breastfeeding with one of their children than they did with their other child which they did not breastfeed.  The science proves that breastfeeding is not only an ideal way to feed your child nutritionally but has a whole string of benefits that go beyond just that.

Cut Out Sugar

Sugar is one of the biggest culprits in most people’s diets for adding to extra pounds.  In order to lose your baby weight, you will have to make some kind of an effort.  Try starting here.  This way you can ensure that you are getting the biggest threat out of the way.

Sugar is found in everything.  Many times it is found in places that you never even imagined.  Make sure that you educate yourself on how to properly read a nutrition label in order to guard yourself against extra sugar sneaking in.

Exercise

Learning to sweat and loving to sweat will be something that will do you many favors on your road to weight loss. Try implementing an exercise routine into your daily life and you will notice that your body starts to shift back to its former self in a much quicker amount of time.

Try starting with something as small as walking for 45 minutes a day.  This small action can burn as many as 300 extra calories and boost your metabolism significantly.

Accept The Changes

Sometimes you just have to accept that your body is going to be different after having a baby.  You may have a few extra jiggly bits, scars, or stretch marks after having a baby but rather than being ashamed see them as marks of victory.
