Surprising Olive Oil Uses

Did you know that you can use Olive Oil for more than just cooking? I love to cook with it, as it gives our food a little extra flavor. But I have found other uses for it as well. Like did you know it removes paint from your hands? All you have to do is mix a teaspoon of olive oil with a pinch of baking soda or sugar and scrub away that paint. It also works great to use on stuck zippers. Just use a q-tip to put a small amount on the body of the zipper and move the pull up and down. It is also great for shaving. Coat your legs or your face in olive oil and the razor will go over those hairs easy peasy. Got candlesticks that have leftover wax on them use it to get rid of that leftover wax. All you have to do is wash it with a mild dish soap and a few drops of olive oil. And lastly, it is good to use with your fur babies to help prevent those nasty fur balls. Just sprinkle a teaspoon over your fur babies’ food and no more nasty surprises. So you see olive oil has so many uses other than cooking. Have you used olive oil in any of the ways that I described or do you have a new way to use it that it is not mentioned here? Share your experiences with olive oil by leaving a comment. Oh by the way did you know that this another use for olive oil – to write about it to get you to leave a comment. LOL
