Sometimes Simple is Best #OREOcookies
Ever have an idea in your mind, that you know will just go perfectly? Then no matter what you do, it just goes oh so wrong. Well, folks here is my idea and my Pinterest fail. I knew I wanted to make something fabulous for this post about OREO cookies but somehow my fabulous idea didn’t transfer from my mind to my hands and it went oh so wrong.
My first thought is that I would make some OREO Lollipops for Gracie’s first Quincenara practice. I sent my husband and Gracie off to Walmart to buy OREO Cookies, Lollipop sticks, and some white chocolate candy melts. I wanted the candy melts that come in a container because they are so much easier to work with than the ones in the bag. However, when they got home, they had gotten the bag ones. I thought okay maybe that will work.
Fast forward to Sunday morning, the day I was supposed to create the masterpieces. There was a reason I wanted the melts in the container because they are easier to work with. And after the week I had, I needed easy.
I set up first taking pictures of the ingredients and then starting the process. However, my microwave has other ideas. Oh did I tell you, that we have had this microwave since we have moved into our house and I still can’t figure it out! Let’s just say those lollipops just didn’t make it .
Then I thought okay why not use them as a topping on fruit dipped in chocolate. Like my own version of chocolate covered strawberries but with an OREO Cookie twist. Guess what another Pinterest fail!! Yep !!
So I finally decided to just give up all the fancy ideas and just have the OREO cookies the old-fashioned way, with a glass of ice cold milk.
And I am glad that right now I am glad that Walmart has an amazing pallet display of my all time favorite cookie. In fact, you will want to check out that display for a specially marked package that will help you save.
Not only is there a coupon on the package but also you can get instant cash back when using the Ibotta app. How cool is that? I will admit after all the OREO Cookies I destroyed trying to come up with an amazing new way to serve Oreo cookies, it helped me save on the multiple packages I bought. And yes I do mean multiple. I know that my girls won’t mind all the fails because they love OREO Cookies any way that they can eat them.
In fact when I first opened the package, immediately Mikaela and Gracie came out of their rooms and asked if they could have one. I felt like that mom that had to hid the candy and her children catch her eating it in the closet.

Oreo’s are delicious any way you use them so no worries! Will try the monster milkshake though thanks
I love oreos! But I know what you mean because I experience the Pinterest fail quite often. At least you tried and, in the end, you got delicious oreos and milk so I’d say it’s still a win!
