Sometimes You Need a Reminder that Life is Good

Disclosure: I received items from the Life is Good® line in exchange for posting about this contest.

Life is Good

With all the craziness of Gracie’s quinceañera, I often forget to remember all of my blessings. Today, I was reminded them. One of my dear sweet friends, Laura took it upon herself to grab me out of chaos for just a few hours and let me enjoy lunch and fellowship. Isn’t it amazing that God puts people like that in your life to make sure you remember Life is Good®?

That is why I am so excited to bring you this amazing contest just so that you can remind your own children that Life is Good. What is it you ask? It is a design a T-shirt contest.

Before I go into the details of the contest, let me tell you that I have a few items from the Life is Good® line and they are absolutely amazing. Not only are they comfortable but they are just too darn cute.

Now here is a little bit about the contest.

The positive lifestyle brand, Life is Good® kicked off its 2nd Annual T-Shirt Art Contest for Kids and teens, ages 4-17, to draw what makes life good for a chance to win a college scholarship and have their designs sold on lifeisgood.com. For every entry, Life is Good will donate $1 to the Life is Good Kids Foundation. Here is a little more
In its second year they are asking young optimists to draw why life is good and make life better for kids in need. Last year, Life is Good received over 7,500 entries and turned three finalists’ drawings into actual T-shirts, with 100% of the net profits going to the Life is Good Kids Foundation.

“At Life is Good, we have always viewed kids as the ultimate optimists, as they tend to greet the world with arms wide open. With this effort, we invite children to teach us,” said John Jacobs, Chief Creative Optimist & Life is Good co-founder. “After last year’s incredibly enlightening contest, full of fun ideas, inspiration, and thought-provoking designs, we decided to expand the contest to include teens. We hope to instill even more young people with the philosophy that good can be found in themselves, others, and the world around them. We can’t wait to see the creativity, positivity, and fun this year’s contest will surely bring!”

Now through May 1, 2017, kids ages 4 – 17 can get involved by going here For every entry received, Life is Good will donate $1 to the Life is Good Kids Foundation, which partners with frontline caregivers who dedicate their careers to helping children heal from early childhood trauma, such as poverty, violence, and illness
Four finalists will have their drawings featured on Life is Good T-shirts with 100% of the net profits benefiting the Life is Good Kids Foundation. They will also be awarded a $2,000 scholarship, a suite of art supplies, and more. Like-minded partners across the nation will join the art contest by sharing entry forms, giveaways and more: Friendly’s, National Geographic Kids, Junior Achievements, WGBH, and various Life is Good Kids Foundation partner organizations.
“Last year, we asked kids across the country to draw what makes life good. The response? Not video games, candy, or even Snapchat – but family, love, nature, and earth”, said Steve Gross, Chief Playmaker of the Life is Good Kids Foundation. “Art came from every corner of the country, and the results were eye-opening, especially when the news headlines don’t often highlight all the good going on in the world. Our next generation may be the most optimistic yet.” To learn more about the contest, view the ever-growing gallery of entrants’ art, and to see last year’s finalists, visit their contest page.
