Roaming Reindeer A New Holiday Tradition

“He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, and he knows if you have been good or bad.” Ever wonder when you were a kid how Santa knew everything. Was he a psychic or something? But did you know he had help from some of his reindeer friends. Each year, Santa sends his reindeer friends out in pairs to the homes of every little boy and girl. These reindeer work together as a team. If a child has been bad Reindeer 1 leaves the house to report to Santa. Reindeer 2 stays to continue their job. When the child is being good, Reindeer 1 returns.

Isn’t this a cute idea to share with children? Well guess what it can become a reality this holiday season with Roaming Reindeer by Angela Meju. This cute children’s book comes in a keepsake box which includes a set of reindeer. Your kids will watch to see if they stay together. What a great way to get your children to behave this holiday season and also to teach children all about teamwork. This is such a cute alternative to the Elf on the Shelf. Especially if you are like me and forget to move the stupid thing.

I also love that it encourages good behavior in children. Plus have you noticed that the Elf on the Shelf has gotten a little crazy and people are trying to outdo each other. The elf is also known to be very bad. I know our Berry has been.

I will have to say as a mom I love the concept of these reindeer working as a team, it is awesome. If my girls were younger I would make this into a new holiday tradition. But sadly they are older in their preteens and teen years so I will be passing on my set to Emily, another member of the Frugal Mom family so that she can start this tradition with her young children.

  1. I totally love this idea and have it as well. My toddler loves the reindeers. We also love our Elf on the Shelf and have to admit that yes he can be naughty at times. 🙂

  2. Ah-to be young and still believe! This sounds like a cute idea and may help your child behave if only for the time the reindeer are watching carefully!

  3. What a cute, new tradition! We have an Elf on the Shelf and try to do things a bit differently. I have been looking at gratitude angels and elves and even a mouse!
