Hi Folks,

Guess who is back? It has been a long time since I last took over Mommy’s blog but there has been so much going on. Just recently my mommy, daddy and sisters were reflecting how much their lives changed 4 years ago. Want to know what happened? They got me. After 17 years of my mommy begging my dad for an inside dog, they got me. Mommy said daddy put up a tough fight as most Latino men do but they (my mom and my sisters) finally won in the end. So 4 years ago, I was adopted into my family and was given the name “Allie Selena Vera”. Allie because I was named after my grampie, Selena after the Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla, and Vera because that is my last name. Although in hispanic cultures it is pronounced like Bera.

My sisters picked the name Selena, because they love her music. In fact when my middle sister, Mikaela had her Quinceañara she chose two of her songs to dance with her padrinos (godparents). So you can see how important her music was to all of my family. I feel so proud to have all of these names. I am glad that they did not pick the names they were thinking about like Taco, Salsa, Cerveza, Corona, and Tequila.

Because my family waited so long for me to come into their lives you can imagine how loved and pampered I am. My mommy even says I am a little spoiled. Don’t tell her but I actually agree with her. I go to the beauty parlor AKA The Groom Room every six weeks and I have what my parents call a spa day. At the end of the day, I return looking like the real Princesa I am with bows in my hair, a new wrap for my collar and a fancy treat.

Just to give you a little insight into how spoiled and set in my ways I am, my mommy has tried several times to replace my first food dish. Several times my silly mommy has tried to replace and several times I have refused to eat until I get my old dish back. Even now when I go to visit my nana, I have to take my food bowl with me or I won’t eat unless it is cheese (queso) or french fries than I am all in.

Because of how much they love me, their little Princesa, they make sure that I eat the right food. And if you know anything about Princesas you know they only eat the best. That is why my family chooses to feed me Beneful Incredibites. This particular brand of food princesas like me go crazy over. In fact when my mommy was trying to take a picture to help me out with this post, I couldn’t stop myself from eating long enough for her to take a picture. I was like “Mom, stop bothering me when I am trying to eat.”  They are made especially for little princesas like me. Made with real meat, carrots, sweet potatoes and spinach, they are yummy for my tummy.

My family feels good about feeding Incredibites to me because they promote a healthy lifestyle as well helping to keep me active.Because being chased by the little kittens sometimes is not enough exercise. You mean you didn’t know that Princesa Allie is frightened of kittens.

My mommy and older sister, Gracie found this yummy food at Target. Did you know that Target is an awesome place for all the needs of Princesas? They love going shopping during the holidays because they always bring home clothes to add to my already overflowing wardrobe.

My family loves taking me places. I just wish I could check out these summer events. Here are a list of a few I am excited about Fiesta Patrias Santa Ana (9/12), Fiesta Hermosa (9/5-7), Jerome Park Carnival (8/14-16), and the Doggie Street Festival (9/19).  During these events there will be an Instagram vending machine. How cool is that? Plus Target will be having in store demos at various Targets in Los Angeles on 8/22 from 11am-4 pm. There will be samples given out as well as a coupon for $2 off. You can also check the Target Coupon in the LA Newspaper on 8/2 for Beneful but this is only for the LA area. But don’t worry for those that live outside the LA area Target’s Cartwheel app has a coupon for  20% off is valid through 7/5 – 7/25.
