Ovation Cinema and Grill: Dinner and A Movie
“Let’s go have dinner and a movie.” That is the standard line when most people ask another person out for a date. But now this phrase brings on a whole new meaning. Ovation Cinema and Grill brings this phase to life. You can literally eat your dinner and watch a movie at the same time.
A few weeks ago, my younger girls and I were given a behind the scenes view of this wonderful place that has opened recently in Holly Springs.
You can order your tickets online and get a dedicated seat for the movie. No more fumbling around in the dark to find an empty seat. You can simply cruise in and show your ticket and go straight to your seat.
And even if you arrive late and the previews are already showing, the rows and seat numbers are lit up to see, so no more stumbling around in the dark.
You have two choices of where to eat dinner as well. You can either eat at the bar before the movie or get to your seat in the theater and order your food from there. They have a wide selection of food to choose from. At the end of the tour, Guy who is the managing director invited us to have lunch on him.
Gracie got the Turkey Club, Mikaela had the Shrimp Tacos, and I got the BBQ Chicken Flatbread. The food was absolutely amazing. We ended up bringing over half of what we ordered home. And Gracie keeps asking when are we going back because as she put it “It was the best turkey sandwich, I have ever tasted.”
Now onto the theater part of the dinner and movie experience. Although we weren’t able to watch a movie, we were able to slip into all the theaters to see how they are set up. Seriously, folks, I don’t think there is a bad seat at all. Each row is elevated to the point that even if you sit behind a really tall person you can still see over them. And the chairs are super comfy. According to Southern Motion Furniture, recliners at a movie theater are a must. And the fact that there is a little swivel table attached to each seat means no more holding your snacks during the movie.
What I also loved about this theater is that it goes above and beyond to make sure everyone, even those with disabilities can come and enjoy the movie. The offer special services for them.
Besides that being one of my favorite things, I was also impressed with how Integrity was stressed to each employee. Each person is treated like a VIP the moment they walk into the theater. In fact, during our tour, we were greeted not once but multiple times with friendly smiles and a kind word. I just can’t wait to go back and watch a movie there now. Maybe over break, when all the girls are home.
