Being a mom is such an important and rewarding job, when made the decision when I was pregnant with my second daughter, Mikaela that I would stay home and be a full-time mom. First it worked out financially that we were able too, but the biggest reason was that my mom who was watching my older daughter, Maddie who was two years old at the time, told me that she did not think she could handle watching two children. We decided that the money I would make would just be enough to pay for daycare and maybe a few extras. So once Mikaela was born, I stayed home until Gracie, our youngest started preschool. When I entered back into the workforce, I was not scared at all because I had already built relationships with the principal and teachers at the school I would be working at because I started volunteering there when Maddie entered kindergarten. I was lucky that I had such a relationship with my employer and fellow employees that there was not adjustment period at all.

I know that not all moms are that lucky. That is why I am so glad that there is a website like Mom Corps YOU.
