A few months back I wrote a post on my other blog Champagne Style Bare Budget about how some people excel at being beautiful and some have to struggle. I have always found that I am in the struggling category, just recently I have started to become more comfortable in my own skin. This has taken a long time and I still have a long way to go but it most certainly is a journey but I am totally enjoying the experience and learning more about myself.

I have looked beyond the magazine ads and start looking at those around me and seeing the beauty within them. My first look would be at my three girls, they are so beautiful in their own way. They are unique individuals with their own quirks but yet they are still able to maintain their sense of who they are. Now that my youngest has officially become a teenager I see her experimenting with hair and makeup.

Then the next beauty would be my mom. She is a total rock and this year I have seen her beauty shine through in the way she handled with style and grace the death and burial of her life long partner, my dad. They had known each other since she was 11 and he was 14 and would have been married 55 years this year. She continues to astound me with her beautiful spirit.

Another would be one of my sisters Denise, she has managed to raise two boys on her own, while going to college and dealing with health issues as well. Just this past year we have gotten closer as she quite a few years older than I and we never had a close relationship. But now I see her for  the beauty she is.

What all of these women have in common besides me is that we all use Dove Beauty products to make sure that our beauty sustains.
