- Go on a walk at sunset time. It’s beautiful and relaxing.
- Pick a handful of wildflowers for your partner.
- Go for a bike ride.
- Go rummage through a flea market.
- Visit a local gallery.
- Go to a local bookstore’s readings of poetry – or just to browse.
- Go star gazing. Many community colleges have free observatory nights.
- Go on a free tour near you. (winery, factory, etc.)
- Take a picnic basket to a park (do it indoors and pretend, if it is rainy.
- Go out for coffee and dessert instead of dinner.
- Go to matinees versus nighttime shows- they are sometimes half price.
- Some employers sell theater tickets at half price.
- Go miniature golfing.
- Use two-for-one coupons for restaurants.
- When it’s too cold to walk outdoors, walk in a mall.
- Send the kids to someone’s house for the night. Enjoy the silence.
