Have you ever noticed how our children like to imitate us? They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. In the new children’s book, I Want To Do Yoga Too by Carole P. Roman, Hallie wants to be just like her mommy.
Here is brief summary of the book. Hallie and her mommy are going to the yoga studio and Hallie is very unhappy. She wants to do yoga too.
Wait until you find out how Hallie learns that yoga poses can be found in everyday life. I will have to say that I loved the simple idea behind this book. I also can see it being used in a classroom to not only get children to relax but also to get them active as well. I love how Roman takes normal everyday items that children will see in their everyday life and show them how they can turn these everyday items into yoga poses.
I also loved the illustrations in this book. Not only are they colorful and lifelike but the poses are shown so children can be encourage to do yoga along with Hallie.
