Hunger Games MockingJay Part 2 A Must See Movie

My daughter and I attended a prescreening in exchange for this review. Our love of the movie is all our own. 

One of the things I love most about my job as a blogger is being able to see movies before they come out in theaters. This also scores me some cool points in the mom department as well. So it is a win win for me. I will have to say that I was hoping and praying that I would get the invite to attend the prescreening of Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2. This movie is one that all of us in the family could not wait to see. My youngest daughter Gracie got to attend the prescreening with me.

We arrived really early to the movie as I drove a little over an hour to the theater. None of the theaters around us do prescreening so we drive to what I feel like is my second home the Raleigh/ Cary area to attend prescreenings. The good thing about this is that I get to spend a lot of quality time with my daughter in the car and of course depending on the time we always eat but we also try to squeeze a little shopping in as well.

So I was glad that we arrived early , as her 8th grade prom is just around the corner and we were able to find her dress. Do you know how hard it is to find a simple black dress? You would think it  would be easy enough but nope. She had gone to several places with her sister and could not find anything she liked. I guess all she needed was me to be there because guess what we found at the first store we went to. Yep you got it a little black dress, I am totally amazed at the young woman she is becoming.

Now onto the movie, although the movie was amazing it wasn’t the best in the Hunger Games Saga. My favorite is still Catching Fire and Gracie agrees with me as well. But it still is a pretty awesome movie. I was impressed with how true they stayed to the books as well as the development of Peeta’s character. I will say that I was surprised at some of the things in the movie and the special effects were really amazing. There is one scene in the movie that actually made me cringe and that is with the MUTTS. It was like a scene out of a horror movie. And I don’t do horror movies. I saw the original Amityville Horror when I was in high school and could not sleep for weeks afterward so I know that horror movies are not for me.

This movie had a little bit of everything, awesome special effects, a story of friendship and love forged on the battlefield as well as the courage of one young woman to go against  the status quo and becomes a leader to all .

If you are looking for an awesome movie to see this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, then Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 is the must see movie.
