How To Fold A Towel
When my oldest left for college, I admit I was a little heartbroken. I had so many concerns running through my head. Would she remember all that we taught her or would she take everything that she had learned and just throw it away?
The other day we were having a conversation about laundry and she actually paid me a compliment. She said Lex, her boyfriend told her that he loved the ways she folded towels. She said that she learned it from me. I know folding towels might not be such a big deal but because of the way our bathroom closet is, there is a certain way that makes the towels look neat and tidy. ( I will have to admit that I felt proud at that moment because I drilled that into my girls how to fold the towels a certain way. And I do mean drilled. Even my husband still doesn’t pay attention when he folds towels and I always have to go back and refold them. 🙂 )
How do I fold them you ask? Why it is actually very simple.
- First I fold the towel in half.
- Then in half again.
- Then I fold it in threes.
- Making a cute little package that is easy to put up in the closet.
But for me the bigger the towel the better it is. I absolutely love bath sheets and the bath sheets from Harris Scarfe are to die for. To be honest, I have one towel in my house that I proclaim as mine, and if anyone else uses it, I get a little upset. Especially if it is my girls because they tend to hoard towels in their rooms until we are totally out and they realize they have to do their laundry. Anybody else have children like that?
