Back At My Happy Place

This past weekend I was once again in my happy place, that would be Wake Med Soccer Park in Cary, NC. Yes the Carolina Railhawks season has started. I have long-awaited for this to begin but when it did I realized that to me happiness is no longer about the place but about the people we are spending time with. My oldest daughter is still at college and with finals looming in the near future she made the decision to stay at college for the weekend instead of making the trek down but of course that also had something to do with the fact that the game started at 1 pm and not the normal time of 7:30 pm and you know how late college kids like to sleep. At least mine does.

Even though I still love the Railhawks I noticed a few things that I had overlooked in the past. The Railhawks won their season opener 3-1 against the Ottawa Fury. This match had tons of yellow cards and even a red card. It was an exciting match to say the least. But I think I was more excited to try out my new camera, yep I have dipped my foot into the DLSR world and I am so in love. Just check out the awesome shots that I took this weekend.

Naz and Leo

Here are two of our favorites Naz and Leo. Mikaela trains with Naz on the weekends. They both are pretty awesome.

Here is an up close one of Leo.

It was pretty windy on Saturday. I was able to snap this picture after Naz had to retrieve the ball after the wind got a hold of it. Can you see him laughing in this picture?

I love to be able to snap picture after picture without waiting for my camera to catch up. Although I snapped more pictures of the game, these are just a few. I can’t wait to share with you in the weeks to come more pictures.

So tell me do you have a DLSR camera and what do you love about it?
