Awesome Dessert Recipe Using Candy Corn
October officially ushered in the holiday season. The season also known as the season of feasting. Ever wonder what to do with all the leftovers. I mean seriously we have candy leftover from Halloween and then we have leftovers from Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know I indulge way too much on leftovers over the holidays. And to me, there is nothing better than to snack on leftover candy corn. I don’t know why I love it so much. I just remember as a child watching my dad eat it. It was his favorite candy. I guess it is because I admired my dad so much and wanted to be like him that I started eating it as well.
But sometimes there is such a thing as having too much of a good thing. So I have had to come up with ways to reuse all that candy corn I buy. Which brings me to this dessert that is not only awesome for Halloween but Thanksgiving as well. Plus it is something that I can make in the kitchen in no time at all with my girls.
Candy Corn Parfait
Ingredients:
- ½ Cup Pineapple
- 1 Small Can Mandarin Oranges
- Whipped Cream
- Candy Corn
Directions:
- In your glass/dish begin by placing your pineapple in the bottom.
- Next, place your oranges on top of the pineapple.
- Cover the top of the fruit in a generous amount of whipped cream.
- Garnish the top of the whipped cream with a few pieces of candy corn.
- Chill before serving for best results.
I can’t wait to make this again and take it to my mom’s for Thanksgiving.

Of course, I always go to Walmart to buy all my ingredients. One because it is like literally 5 minutes from my house and second it fits my budget. And can I say that self-checkout lanes are the bomb! So while I am shopping for all my holiday goodies, I always grab the new Imodium® A-D® Softgels.
So while I am shopping for all my holiday goodies, I always grab some Imodium®. Because with all the over indulging my family does over the holiday feasting season there is bound to be some tummy trouble involved.
And it always seems to be that Mikaela and I are the ones that battle this the most. I mean seriously, how did we get so lucky? I guess we are just blessed.
That is why we always pack a little mini to go kit with Imodium® and Pepcid®. Because it never fails that sometime during the feasting a situation will occur.
So tell me how do you handle all the over indulging during the feasting season?
