A Visit To The North Carolina Museum of Art

Over the holidays we had a chance to visit our state’s museum of art. This was the first time that we have been since they moved into their new facility and I was impressed. They have the museum split up into two buildings. One is for the regular aka free exhibits and one is for the paid exhibits. The paid exhibit going on at that time was Rembrandt, but we did not go to that one. We went to the free exhibit. This was great way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon with family. The only thing that it cost us was the gas to get there and of course we had to go out to eat while we were there. But during the spring and summer months this would be an awesome place to have a picnic lunch. I thought I would share some of our photos from our adventure.
This was my favorite pieces in the museum.
Can you guess what it is made of?
Spools of Thread
That is so cool right.
Here is another one of my favorites.
Raul and the girls in the sculpture garden.
Can you tell which one is the sculpture?
And the last one I want to share with you is what you see when you first drive up to to the museum.
To me it looks like a tornado funnel.
Gracie and Beary are saying please don’t take me away.
Look around your state there are many museums that are free to the public that your family can have a fun day at and if it is a nice day you can bring a picnic to cut down on the eating cost.
With that said here is the final piece art that I will share. I had to take a picture of this one.
