DIY Christmas Gift Guide: Dog Chew Toy

AFM DIY Dog Chew Toy

With all those presents that you are buying for your friends and love ones don’t forget your fur babies. Allie and Tutu say your fur babies need presents from Santa as well. Here is a unique present that took me less than 20 minutes to make and cost me nothing. The reason is because I had some scrap fabric on hand but if you don’t have scrap fleece check out the discount bins at your local fabric store sometimes you can get some awesome fabric deals for just a few pennies. (Well actually it will be more than pennies but not over $5.00)

Materials:

  • Fleece Fabric in two colors

Directions:

Cut the fleece into strips. I used 6 strips for my dog toy. The length of the toy is totally up to you. If your dog is bigger you might want to make it longer. Gather the strips together and knot it at the top, leaving just a little tail. Then separate into 3 sections (2 colors per section). Make a braid using the 3 sections until you are 3/4ths of the way down than make another knot. Then wrap and put it under the tree for your fur babies. Yes, it is that easy.
